About AgHawk Drones
AgHawk Drones Ltd. is a locally owned agricultural drone services company based in central Alberta, serving farms throughout the Red Deer, Lacombe, Ponoka, Wetaskiwin, and Innisfail area. We provide precision crop scouting and NDVI mapping ($6–$9/acre), livestock thermal monitoring ($200–$400/farm visit), granular spreading, targeted drone spraying ($16–$20/acre), and farm infrastructure inspections.
Our services are designed for small-to-medium grain, oilseed, and forage operations ranging from 500 to 2,000 acres. We combine advanced multispectral and thermal imaging with hands-on agricultural knowledge. Farmers who use precision scouting before treatment typically see 15–30% savings on input costs through targeted application rather than blanket spraying.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
We serve farms throughout central Alberta including Red Deer, Lacombe, Ponoka, Wetaskiwin, Innisfail, and surrounding communities. If you're within an hour of Red Deer, we can likely get to your fields same-day.
Precision scouting and NDVI mapping runs $6–9 per acre, depending on field size and the level of analysis you need. We provide same-day reports with colour-coded crop health maps and actionable recommendations.
Scouting, mapping, thermal monitoring, and approved granular spreading are fully legal right now. Full in-crop pesticide spraying by drone is pending Health Canada regulatory approval (PRO2026-01), expected mid-2026 or later. We'll be ready to offer spraying the moment it's approved.
We operate a high-capacity agricultural drone with up to a 70 litre payload and fast battery swaps — it covers 60+ acres per hour. For scouting, we fly a dedicated multispectral survey drone for NDVI and crop health imaging, plus a thermal imaging drone for livestock monitoring.
Drones complement your ground rig — they're ideal for the jobs ground equipment struggles with. Wet fields where your sprayer would get stuck, hilly terrain with gaps in coverage, small or irregular fields not worth booking a plane for, and targeted spot treatments for disease patches or weed escapes.
